  1. 1. For the most part, the basic sections were adequate for the paper. However, there are two issues that should be resolved. The first is minor, a lack of mention of the Layered Protocol Architecture (section III) in the introduction. The other is the use of a Wikipedia entry for one of the references.

    2. The subheadings were descriptive enough to give a clear direction of the paper. They were relevant to the topic and allowed the reader to be able to understand what the following topic would be about.

    3. The order of the topics was adequate. The author moved from broader topics of physical design to the narrower topic of protocol usage.

    4. The Assertion of the paper is strong. The author is very clear with describing the importance of the topic.

    5. The use of evidence in the paper is satisfactory. There is a credibility issue with the Wikipedia source. If the author had used the citation in the Wikipedia entry, the there would be no credibility issues.

    6. The organization of the paper is strong. There is no question which topic is being discussed and there is a logical flow to the paper.

    7. The mechanics of the paper are satisfactory. There are a few grammatical errors in the paper, but none are major. Spelling and punctuation seem to be adequate.

    8. The overall effectiveness of the paper is strong. There are a few issues, as discussed above, but none of them are major. The flow of the paper stays on topic and there is no extraneous content that draws the reader away.
